I’ve noticed that quite a few comfort shoe brands are entering the realm of outdoor footwear currently led by Chaco, Keen and Teva.Anyone with a narrow to medium width low volume foot will love the secure fit of the New Wave.Since I have high insteps, it takes a longer strap to fit across the top of my foot and the New Wave has just enough material to make it work (see photo above with Harley the Wheaten Terrier).  If you have a wide foot with high insteps, this sandal may not offer a good fit.

The Taos New Wave sandal is available in whole sizes 6-11 (order up if half size), and best fits a lower volume foot, narrow to medium widths.I’ve never owned a shoe that uses this type of closure, and for the most part I like it, but if my fingers are having a bad RA day, I find it hard to release.Although I haven’t taken them on a nature hike yet, they’ve kept me sure-footed on wet garage floor surfaces (the summer equivalent of ice-covered sidewalks), and damp grass.Check out our reviews of the Taos Trulie sandal, Taos Crave boot, and the popular Taos Star sneaker.[Wedge Spunky Add Looks Everyday The Lilly Presenting Style Sandals Jambu To]

I enjoy the feel of the Taos New Wave sandal. The Taos New Wave handled each morning’s adventures in stride, providing just enough support without weighing my feet down.

We love Taos footwear for their foot-friendly shoes and sandals with arch and metatarsal support. What I love most about the contoured footbed is the metatarsal support.Once I have the sandal strapped on, I do a little customizing for a better fit.The opinions are completely my own based on experience.[Vibes Holiday]

First off, I love the look of this stylish water-friendly sandal.Adding supportive, water-proof sandals with grippy traction to an all-star comfort shoe collection makes good sense to me!

Taos sent me the New Wave sandal to review and while I haven’t had a chance to wear them hiking, I gave them a workout at our neighborhood outdoor VBS for over 80 kids.Naot released its Source line earlier this year, and now Taos joins in with its New Wave sandal.[Brands Organic Lipstick]

The sticky rubber outsoles provide excellent traction on slippery surfaces. The z-strap made of quick-dry webbing comes in the loveliest shades of variegated blue, pink and green, along with neutral black/gray.I plan on taking the Taos New Wave sandal on our annual camping trip to Canada next week, so I’ll be sure to report back on how they held up.Taos New Wave Sandal

This review of the Taos New Wave sandal is sponsored by TaosFootwear.com.Find it for $90 from Taosfootwear.com, Zappos, Nordstrom and The Walking Company.[Marathon Los Sponsors Angeles Skechers] .The arch support is moderate–not as aggressive as Chaco, but slightly more than Keen. It’s extremely lightweight, more so than other water sandals such as Chaco or Keen.Instead of crossing a stream on craggy rocks, I paced a sidewalk candy walk until I was dizzy, skirted water balloons on damp grass, and stepped over and on crayons, scissors, and glue sticks on a slick garage floor (call it suburban neighborhood hiking, if you will). So the sandal looks good, but how does it feel?

The Taos New Wave sandal is unique in that it utilizes a typical hook and loop (velcro) closure for forefoot adjustability, yet a plastic quick-release buckle at the ankle.[Alegria Best BOC Your Fall And Shoes Dansko L8217Artiste More For Closet]
